Hello folks,
(sorry for the english, I need help)

After the last update my tolino epos didn't boot. After tolino logo, it rebooted in recovery, every time. With only 2 options (wipe data and recover the system). Wipe works normaly but without any change. Recover the system results in an error (see attachment). Thank you very much

System recovery mode
assert failed: package_extract_file("ntx_hwconfig -static", "/system/bin/ntx_hwconfig-static"
E: Error in /emergency/orig_update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Well, I tried with custom_recovery.img (5_BOOT_adb.bat) using adb

1. to sideload update.zip but I get error: closed.

2. adb push update.zip everywere but after reboot everything is lost

3. adb shell does not show the files only folders an the file I pushed (after restart is lost again)

I'm having the same problem with my tolino 4 hd. After I try to install the 11.2 updat via computer. My device was rooted. Now I just get boot loop, the reset button doesn't work, the computer doesn't even recognize the device animor, neither does the adb. I don't see any solution...

Hi all,

I had the same problem and finally found a fix for my Vision 4 HD - maybe this helps to solve your problem as well (I have adjusted it to the Epos):

1. Download the old 11.1.0 firmware from

(I analyzed the link structure of the downloads and found out that the old link is still active 😉 ). For the Vision 4 HD the 10.0.1 version worked, however I do not know if the Epos has had this version as well (can be found

)
2. Extract the "recovery.img" file from the zip and store it in the folder where your fastboot.exe is installed (if not installed, do it first)
3. Boot the tolino into fastboot mode by plugging it into USB first (important!) and then holding down the power and light button at the same time for approx. 5 seconds (until the home button flashes the second time) and then release them
4. you should now see the device as fastboot when typing in fastboot devices in your command line tool
5. now manually boot the old recovery by typing fastboot boot recovery.img
6. as soon as the recovery shows up, select the third entry and recover the system. For me it went through the process without an error and I was able to boot up the system.

Hope this helps!
